I kind of feel like we're going too far with all these posts? I mean, porn is one thing, but at some point we're removing all focus from the fic you get assigned and just saying, go nuts, pick what you want.

I haven't finished my letter yet, but one of my prompts is basically "tell me about this dude's life as a drug addict". Maybe I'll get it up tonight!

Myst if there are letters for it; I only finished one and a half games and two of the books so I didn't feel comfortable offering, but if it's something I can treat, then maybe.

Once upon a time, heavensqueen made a post on the yuletide lj to be a space free from cult of nice. It got deleted, so we became a meme and lived happily ever after. The end.

I usually try to imagine that I've been assigned to write the fic myself. Going off of your prompt, do you see your characters doing something wildly different post-canon? Would they still interact with characters C and D? Could something from their past come back to haunt them? Are there any dynamics from the source you wish the creator had given you more of? What fic would lead to those dynamics?

Ah, thanks! It must have been deleted before I saw it, because I got linked here through ffa in 2012 (I think I'm getting the year right).

I saw coal namedropped on the members comm last year. Of course, no one called it yuletide_coal, just "coal", but it was easy enough to find it.

I love getting together as a prompt, although I usually try to give some more explanation for it. For example a possible circumstance for them to get together or why I think their getting together would be interesting.

Generally all my prompts are things I would like to see post-canon or missing scenes from canon. Or what if scenarios, depending on the fandom.

Oliver's not even nominated. Which I'm happy about because he bores me, but it's worth mentioning if you're trawling for treats.

There are three I've found now and the other two were better than the first. I'd like to see a letter with zero Connor mentions, though, even though I like him.

I didn't know about _coal when I first did Yuletide because I didn't see any obvious links on the main comm (and only followed the main comm for basic info, I didn't read everything). I finally found out about _coal thanks to FFA.

Most of the fandoms have him as an ODAO tag along, so I'm pretty happy.

Through lol_meme. I was participating in yuletide the coal started but I sometimes can't deal with the main comm so I wasn't following it. Luckily, intrepid memers are always tuned in for wank.

Ha, I wish I could help but I can be pretty awful at it myself. I usually have at least a couple fandoms where I'm just desperate to read fic based on certain characters but really don't have anything specific I want to see (and would likely be writing it myself if I could come up with ideas for them) and it's always like pulling teeth to try throwing out prompts in case I get a writer who needs them.

Apparently I'm more drawn to letters with specific requested characters, because I only know the fandoms for a couple of the any requests, but the others look good too.
