'Drabbles with no plot' could have been worded better and with more clarity, but that's a somewhat legitimate DNW. Reading that, I think they want 1000 words of a single story, not five separate 200-word vignettes that stop before any one of them goes anywhere interesting.

Okay, but why would you need to specify that? Who would want five separate 200-word vignettes that stop before any of them goes anywhere interesting? Wouldn't that be against the rules anyway?

Sure, but that's like saying "no OOC" or "no badfic". Most people don't set out to write bad, disconnected 5 times fic, just like most people don't set out to write bad long, plotty fic.

Fixed to be legible, you mean. I also know what OAA means, but had no idea what that sentence was supposed to say in relation to the thread at hand. I still don't know why you or the person above think that comment was aggressive, though.

I'd be okay with that, since I quite like 5-times character studies and/or introspective pieces.

One of the loveliest pieces I've ever received in an exchange was a set of four thematically connected 250-word pieces for four different fandoms I'd requested.

It's possible to make that kind of fic work, but but not everyone likes that. And even fewer people are capable of executing it.

That's pretty different than what this person is saying, then. What they're saying is the equivalent of "dislikes: bad fic."

Maybe they just don't like drabbles in general? You certainly *can* write drabbles with plot, but honestly as a drabble writer I would probably not feel inclined to treat them with one!

PWP just means porn without plot. IKEA style means bad porn that is all about insert tab A into slot B. PWP can still be GOOD porn, though, that's not IKEA porn.

I was hoping that IKEA style porn meant an IKEA-style pictorial instruction manual.
