I was hoping to break 50 today, but I think I'm going to have to go to bed.

After terrible "my writing sucks my recipient will hate it I'm writing coal and I'm unable to write their preferred type of fic", I've managed to write a very rough plot outline. I keep getting terrified how long this is likely to get - no way it's under 8k, it'll probably end in the 10k range.

So far I have 2'700 words but I'll probably end up cutting most of them (see: not my recipient's preferred type of fic).

I'm hoping to get a first draft reasonably early so I can hunt down for a beta who'll help me structure/focus/rewrite the thing in a direction more like the sort of writing recip enjoys.

Haven't written anything yet today, and probably won't. I'm sick, and if any writing energy is likely to be used for planning the next bit of writing.

I managed 100 words today, which is better than none!

Sympathies. I'm sick too, and at least 3/4 of the day my head is too fuzzy to write anything. It's really frustrating. I HAVE ALL THIS TIME AND I CAN'T DO ANYTHING WITH IT.

Haven't been able to start yet as I haven't had time for canon review so I don't feel comfortable enough with the characters' voices to start writing. But my plotting document is getting impressively long so there are words, they're just not story-words...

I love my assignment too, but while I'm here reviewing that canon, I might as well sneak in two Madness-sized treats for the writing fandom of my heart. Just to get those out of my mind, you know? I want to treat at least two more people (maybe three) in other fandoms but those will have to wait.

On the 2nd I wrote a little more after I said I was going to bed, so I'm still ahead of my goal, but just barely. I don't feel bad about skipping today, though, since I went to a book signing and had a great time.

I'm still not writing my Yuletide fic yet, but I did write something in the right fandom this time. I'm not going to use it for Yuletide, just needed to get out some canon feelings before settling down into the request.

Still have a sinus infection, but it's a little better and I actually plotted wrote today.

I wrote 1100 words yesterday! With my 200 goal! ^_^

Well, 1100 of Yuletide. I also wrote 600 of something else when a bunny bit my brain.

Up to 5300 total words on Yuletide, now.
