"Power user" = "It means that I spend a LOT of time on AO3, and have since it started, both as a reader and a writer, using tags and search functions and other methods to get the most out of the archive."

Lol, I saw that response and rolled my eyes multiple times. She's ~so special~ u gaiz!!!1! She spends sooo much time on AO3, unlike the rest of us plebs, and because she knows the system a million times better than we ever could, we must bow down before her wisdom!

God, is she ever full of herself.

Hey, c'mon, you've got to admit that reading, posting, tagging, and searching for fic are all highly unusual specialized tasks that not many other people would even think of trying to do on a fanfic archive.

Cool.

I'm an AO3 power user too, then. Yay! When I add this to my CV, does it go under "skills" or "education/accomplishments"?

Both.

I believe that is listed under skills which include.

Yeah, newsflash, when I say I have no idea how to tag, I don't mean I don't understand the theory, I mean I can't think of any particular tags for my fic.

Oh good, so we know where to direct our complaints!

Of course. How dare a woman stand up, say she is good at something, be proud of it, and offer to help others learn it. Especially when *gasp* other women are already good at the same thing!

I was going to be like 'nobody take the bait!' but then you took the bait and left more bait. :/

+1 same.

LMAO.

It's more about the sort of person she is. I like to knit, and I'd like to think I'm pretty good at it. However, I suck at cooking.

I suppose I COULD ask my sister how to cook a good roast, she's pretty good at cooking. But she's a complete clusterfuck of a human being, and will complain bitterly about anyone asking her for help, even if she offered the help in the first place. So I'd rather ask my friend who is also very good at cooking to help me, since at least I don't want to beat him upside the head every time he talks.

It's kinda like that. Sure, BeatriceOtter can offer to help. Doesn't mean she's gonna be any good at helping.

Oh god I just got to the part about "cape names" and how you should tag "Robin - Tim Drake" or "Tim Drake aka Robin." Way to make even more work for wranglers of a juggernaut fandom, B! Piped names have been a thing on Ao3 for YEARS. At least update your shit if you're going to spam with it.
