Stupid newb question

All assignments have to be in by deadline, I know. But what about treats? The admin post says the collection will be closed on the 25th. Does that mean if we write treats from now till then that we can still add them to the collection?

Yes.

Awesome, thanks!

Yes, you can add treats as long as the collection is open (it gets closed right before works are revealed, there are warnings before, and even then you have a day or two to post it to Madness if you didn't make it).

Awesome and good to know about the warnings!

Yep. http://yuletide-admin.livejournal.com/209336.html

"After [the deadline], we will close the collection briefly to take care of some administrative work, then re-open it - so pinch hitters and treat writers will be able to upload stories after that, right up until midnight UTC between Dec 24 and 25."

Madness stays open a day longer than that, and NYR stays open for much of the next year.

I was aware of the NYR (I have plans for a fic/treat that I know I can't write until next year so I'm counting on that collection), I just wasn't sure about stuff that would count for Yuletide itself. Thanks for this!
