Off to edit, although when I was using the as-far-as-I-can-tell correct names from canon, they were showing up as the weird versions in the tag sidebar.

If your tags are synced to the canonicals, the canonicals will still show up on the sidebar even though you didn't tag your fic with them.

Ah, that makes sense.

I've restored my tags to the canon ones (the ones in the fic have been correct as far as I can tell all along). Since it's a tiny new fandom I guess it's possible that a very confused person who doesn't know the fandom is doing the tag wrangling.

NA If the tags are legitimately wrong then contact support. They'll reach out to the assigned wrangler (if there is one) or fix it themselves.

Most fandoms don't have a wrangler and are tackled by someone using wiki when they first appear and then are never looked at again. It's not a huge deal or uncommon to point out mistakes.

Seconding the Wrangler anon as a Support anon - fill out the form at http://archiveofourown.org/support and we will make sure the right people see it. Can't guarantee it'll be corrected by reveals, but it will be looked at.
