I always fantasize about writing the fic of my heart and treating it to myself via dentist so I can stop requesting it every year.

Then I remember I would have to leave a gushing comment to myself, and the embarrassment stops me.

Easy fix. Write the comment first, then the fic, then just copy/paste it. I'd definitely be able to trick myself into doing it that way.
