Hey there, writing coalies! Sister here. My main assignment is all done and ready to go, so now it's treats time. I'm midway through an RPF shippy treat, which I'm hoping to finish today, and then am planning to move on to another treat prompt that caught my eye. Who else is writing today? :)

For posterity: shippy RPF treat is currently at 1131 words.

First time on the coal-writing post, but this is the most writing-est time of the year for me! I have a story up that's ~1050 words of crap and am working on a much better replacement - already longer, plottier, and more in line with what the recip wants.

So my current word count is 1146. I'd love to finish today, to the tune of about 3500 words!

I'm here! Also writing a shippy RPF treat, as it turns out. And I just got some edits back from my beta on my main assignment, so I'll be working on that a bit later.

Treat wordcount = 1097 (probably won't top 1500)

Nokia here, one of my fics is at 1271 and I'm hoping to finish it and get it to around 2000 within the next few hours. After that I'll take a break to go over another piece for someone else. Finally I hope to finish another treat that's at 1331 and will probably also be around 2000 when finished. Here's hoping today will be productive for all of us!

Heya! I'll be Squirrel.

Assignment and one treat down, and I'm trying to get another one done today. Originally I was writing it for someone who went out on the PH list, but I see they now have a main fic *and* a treat, which makes me even happier. This means I can give it to my original recip in the same fandom, who I was wanting to treat anyway, yay!

At 537 words now. Not that many more to go.

I posted in the wrong thread the first time. /o\ I didn't think I'd get to come back, but I've more writing in store after all.

I've finished two stories, and want to finish a treat and an extra scene on the end of a finished assignment today. Already have a couple more treats planned if I can manage the time, but these have to be done first!

Assignment's at 6300.
Treat's at 1350.

Heya! I love this idea. I was just about to go to sleep and continue writing tomorrow (which might not have happened, since I'm seriously lazy), but this is keeping me going!

Just started on a treat that's for someone really special to me who was complaining that there wasn't even one story in their favourite fandom. Sitting here writing in the middle of the night, and praying she doesn't catch me. This will be posted tonight, even if it kills me.

I'll take Snow! My first time here and I'm tuning in really, really late, lol. But I'll be here for a few hours so I can pat some people on the back as time goes on.

I already turned in my assignment, but I'd really like to write at least one treat over the next two days! My assignment was 3.5k of some pre-series gen, so I'm hoping to write 1-2k of dirty porn for my treat :)

I could really use some encouragement, if anyone is still around! I'd wanted to write a treat for someone very badly, but didn't have the time to start until today. It's for a 90s kids TV show, and the person requested one of my baby's first ships! I was so excited about it until I tried to canon review a bit today, and just... god, this show is so awful. Cheesy and over-acted and terrible :( My nostalgia goggles must have been so tight!

So now I'm bummed out because I just don't know if I can actually put anything together for her. I don't think I'll be able to do my initial plan, which was a long future fic for the pairing, because I just won't have the time. But I don't even know if I can put something little together now, with the huge sense of disappointment I feel. Arghhh. But I feel so bad!

Encouragement or advice or something would be lovely, if you have it.

Frofa here saying hi from a well-advanced Dec 23. When you get to where I am I predict... *swirly crystal ball*... that you will all have moar written. ALOT MOAR.

I am going to start a second story for my recipient. Starting is the hardest part so I just have to get over this hump, right?

Then I'm going to write 4 more sections for a treat - I want it to be 5 things, but I decided the first one could stand on its own, so I uploaded it just as that in case I didn't get to the rest.

Arrrrrgh!

So I did my little bit of exercising, futzed around on the internet, had a snack. Just geared up to start writing again. I went to check on one little thing in my canon - and I caught something that completely invalidates a key conversation in my treat. The thing is, that canon something conflicts with something stated earlier in canon, so I'm more irritated with the writers than I am with myself. (AKA get a show bible, people!)

Still. This means I need to rework my key conversation, and I don't have any ideas yet. Blah.

Red checking in to say after a long break to make dinner and walk the dog, I finally finished the (very) rough draft of my treat.

Thanks for all the motivation and encouragement in this thread. And I really hope the fic is in one of the fandoms coalies were hoping for upthread:)

Snow here! Still trying to wrangle this plotty fic back into smutty goodness. Back, back, I say! So far I'm at 1270, but I think I have an idea. I'm going to try to write one more scene before bed, and finish it up tomorrow.

Sister once more! I'm 760 words into this treat for the 90s kid's show, and it's actually starting to work all right. I'm feeling hopeful about it now, so thank you for all the encouragement, guys!

I'm going to head to bed now and turn in a little early. But I'll be back, tomorrow, doing more writing! And I'll be back in this post, too. So come back tomorrow if you plan on writing again, guys! Hey! I want to clean up one last scene in my assignment and add some things to my treats (currently sitting at 900, 400 & 12). I'm aiming to finish up the assignment & treats #1 and #2 before I go to bed tonight.

I'm cleaning up the rough draft of the treat I wrote yesterday before sending it of for betaing.

Then I'm going to comb through the letters I bookmarked to see if there is another treat I can squeeze in before the deadline.

Hey everyone, Sparanero here. This is the last day I have to write, as Christmas is celebrated on the 24th where I live. I've got family stuff going on all day tomorrow, so I won't be able to squeeze in any writing before the archive goes live. I'm really stressed out about getting everything done in time...! *bites nails*

Top priority is fixing up my main fic. I want to add a sex scene, do some heavy editing (because there are some parts that are terribly clunky), and rework the ending. After that I'd like to finish a treat -- I've got one that's fully plotted, but it doesn't have a single finished word on paper.

I just added 450 words to my treat, bringing it to . Finally on to the climactic scene to 2,930. I want to get this scene done today, because there are two more treats I definitely want to write, and today and tomorrow morning are probably my last snippets of time.

It is actually December 25 where I am right now. Well, I wrote fic 2 for my recipient, so that's something. I am a bit sad about all the other treats I wanted to write - but I did the best I could for my assigned reader. So that's good.

Good job with what you did. You can be proud! I'm trying to finish up my treat before holiday obligations whisk me away... might have to be a Madness Treat after all, though! 3650 words AND NO PORN B BUT CLOSE the sex will only be about 1k so I'm in the home stretch!! Two hours of really solid writing should do it, I know it...!!
