Between people bashing the original movie and requesting a character who only showed up on the ineligible TV series, I'm so disappointed by all the Terminator Genisys requests. Especially because I was excited to treat anyone asking for John/Kyle (yay for twisted time-travel incest!), but no one has asked for it :(

What about you? What's been disappointing for you this year?

Only one Jupiter Ascending letter wants actual incest :(

What, really? I didn't offer any Abrasax characters because I figured everyone would want all-incest space royalty all the time. I'm shocked!

Really?! That surprises me. I was all fired up to write a bunch of space royalty porn treats. :( Maybe there will be more letters requesting it and they're just not posted yet...

On the other hand, pretty excited to read some minor character fic too.

Terminator Salvation probably would have been a better bet for John/Kyle than Genisys.

Sense8 requests have been boring/uninspiring from a treating perspective (I would never offer so the any fuckups don't bother me). A fandom I nominated did get people requesting it, but the prompts aren't very good so I'm disappointed :(

On the upside, I found a lot of random fandoms with great prompts, so my "people to treat" list is 40+ strong.

Yeah, you might be right. Personally, the pairing didn't even register for me in Salvation, whereas in Genisys? It basically hit me with a sledgehammer. I really loved the potential for friends-to-enemies-to-lovers that Genisys had going for it, too.

John wasn't even nominated for Terminator Salvation. Pretty sure that most slashers came out of that one shipping Kyle/Marcus.

I'm kind of surprised/disappointed that out of this long list of MFU letters, there's only two at this point I could *potentially* imagine writing a treat for.

The overwhelming majority of people seem to want (domestic) fluff or various kinds of AUs. Both of which I simply cannot seem myself writing for this canon.

Oh well.

I wish more people wanted IF. I have all these cool ideas for text adventure and CYOA approaches to a bunch of different canons, and I'd love to treat it, but there is no way in hell I'm going to write that for someone who hasn't explicitly opted in. There was one letter in particular that said they liked unusual formats, which I'd love to treat, but...there's unusual formats, and then there's IF game, and I will not assume the former means the latter without that opt-in.

If the letter you wanted to treat included two videogames, I keep forgetting to plug my letter in the IF post so I'll try to get that done ASAP.

Was there a post for opting into IF last year? I didn't put it in my letter, but I'd enjoy it...

I'd totally welcome IF and I've just updated my letter to say so.

Can you ask a mod to ask them? I'm planning on doing that for one treat and probably just yuletide_fairying it if they don't want it. Also, I try to play everything tagged "interactive fiction" even if I dont know the fandom, so you'd have at least one comment! :D

If this is me - I did specify liking unusual formats in my letter - I hadn't considered it for any of my canons, but if you have an idea, knock yourself out. That would be a pretty cool present to wake up to on Christmas morning!

OP - Y'all are very encouraging. I may poke people if I'm not sure, after all, or just go "Well, it's a treat, if they don't like it, they still have their main gift!"

I would be thrilled to get a treat like that, but I didn't even think of it when writing my letter. It simply never entered my mind. If I were you I'd contact the people I was interested in treating through the mods.

I hoped the October Daye requests would be more creative, they are mostly asking for backstory and I was hoping for cool plot or AU ideas for treats. /nitpicking

The lone request for a fandom I desperately want to write has finally appeared.

And along with it, a shit-ton of offers that have hitherto been hidden. So much competition! I'll console myself by hoping the person is asking for characters other than what I offered, or that the offers are for the juggernaut that I didn't offer.

The only other request in a fandom I was really excited about Yuletide for is from a person whose letter has already been discussed.

I know they and I can't be the only ones who requested the fandom.

The TGE people asking for just one character, so it's impossible to avoid them without unoffering my fave.

No Gotham people want villain slash or villain/hero slash :(

None of the ones who have posted letters, anyways.
