+.5? I don't know Sense8, Hamilton, Crimson Peak, or most of the other top stuff*, but I do know Goblin Emperor.

I doubt a lot of people have seen Hamilton, since it's a musical that hasn't toured or been shown outside the US, let alone outside Broadway. And I wouldn't be surprised that most of the offers and requests are from people who've only heard the soundtrack. (Which is why I'm not offering to write anything for Hamilton--I'd rather see it before writing fic about it first.) But everything else you've listed is either a movie or exclusively on Netflix.

I think Check Please is the only one of the top ten that I've consumed and I only know the others through Yuletide first seeing a couple of them last year.

I've never been familiar with the most popular fandoms in Yuletide, whether this year or any other. I don't mind though -- I mean, the whole point of Yuletide is supposed to be rare/obscure fandoms, right?

(But sure, it's probably be fun to request/offer the big ones. You get tons of people reading your fic, and you probably end up with a bunch of treats as well.)

Yes. I often end up having at least one big-for-Yuletide fandom. Without trying for it because I like what I like. Anyway, I get a lot more kudos and gifts than in my more obscure years.

This year is my first "big" one: Tennis RPF. ~16 requesters is the biggest I've ever been part of.

Yeah I wrote Check Please last year but I want nothing to do with the fandom now. The comic fallen deep into no1curr plots and it seems like everyone and their mom has hopped on the Fictional Patrick Kane!Kent train and I am not into it at all. Last year I would have told you it might be worth reading a primer just to enjoy the cute fic, but now I fully support your decision to stay the hell away.

It's ugly and pretty boring, but it's short enough that I'd reread for money.

The only faintly popular fandoms I've consumed are Vorkosigan, Lord Peter Wimsey & Rivers of London. As a Brit, I've rarely heard of most of the popular ones every year before they come up in Yuletide.

Me... The most 'popular for Yuletide' I do/know is Tamora Pierce.

I've heard of about half of them, but haven't consumed any (no, not even Jupiter Ascending), except Sense8, which I tried during signups but gave up a couple of episodes (with skimming) in.

And I tried seeing older Librarian stuff after FFA squee, but I gave up less than halfway through the first installment there, too, so I never got to the part they requested here.
